Back in the days when my wife Adele and I were living in a 'normal' home in Melbourne, we would often write little love notes for each other on the bathroom mirror with liquid chalk. I walked in one day to find Adele had written, "You're my home'. I went and wrote the lyrics the song right there and then.

This impacted me in two ways. Firstly, home isn't a 'thing' for us. It is the connection of us that creates our 'home'. And secondly, I have spent many years wandering around the planet with no fixed abode and at times I would feel lost, yet not fearful of being 'homeless'... I am still not afraid to be homeless.

Since Adele and I hit the road full time in our caravan in April 2021, the concept of home being about our connection and not a physical thing, has even deeper meaning than ever.

So this song is a love song for my wife, Adele. My soul buddy. My home.
